| Bill Text: | CLARIFYING THE EXISTENCE AND LOCATION OF TWO METERED PARKING SPACES AND ONE HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF WATER STREET In the Year Two Thousand and Two The City of Nashua ordains that Chapter 13 “Motor Vehicles and Traffic”, Article V “Parking and Stopping”, Division 4 “No Parking, Standing, Stopping in Specified Areas”, Section 13-288 “No parking on certain streets”, subsection (a), of the Nashua Revised Ordinances, as amended, is hereby further amended as follows: 1. Delete the following language under the heading “Water Street and Water Street Ramp”: “South side, from Factory Street to Mechanic Street and from Mechanic Street a distance of one hundred twenty (120) feet easterly toward Main Street and from Main Street a distance of eighty-six (86) feet westerly toward Mechanic Street South side, starting a distance twenty-six (26) feet west of Main Street for a distance of thirty (30) feet” 2. Replace it with the following language under the heading “Water Street and Water Street Ramp”: “South side, from Factory Street to Mechanic Street “South side, from Mechanic Street a distance of one hundred twenty-seven (127) feet easterly towards Main Street and from Main Street a distance of one hundred (100) feet westerly towards Mechanic Street” and further ordains that Chapter 13 “Motor Vehicles and Traffic”, Article V “Parking and Stopping”, Division 4 “No Parking, Standing, Stopping in Specified Areas”, Section 13-290 “Handicapped parking”, subsection (1)(s), of the Nashua Revised Ordinances, as amended, is hereby further amended as follows: 1. Delete the following language: “s. Water Street, south side: one (1) parallel parking space beginning eighty – six (86) feet from corner of Main and Water Streets, a distance of twenty (20) feet in a westerly direction.” 2. Replace it with the following language: “s. Water Street: South side, one (1) parallel parking space beginning one hundred (100) feet from the corner of Main Street and Water Street, a distance of twenty (20) feet in a westerly direction.” All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed. This ordinance shall become effective at the time of removal or installation of the necessary signs. |
