| Bill Text: | OFFICIALLY NAMING THE RIVERSIDE PARKING LOT
LE PARC DE NOTRE RENAISSANCE FRANCAISE PARKING LOT
AND CORRECTING THE ORDINANCE REFERENCES
In the Year Two Thousand and Three RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Nashua that the official name of the Riverside Parking Lot will now be Le Parc de Notre Renaissance Francaise Parking Lot. FURTHER the City of Nashua ordains that Chapter 13 “Motor Vehicles and Traffic”, Article V “Parking and Stopping”, of the Nashua Revised Ordinances, as amended, is hereby further amended by deleting the struck-through language and adding the new underlined language as follows: 1. In Division 3 “Parking Meters”, Section 13-247 “Parking meter and reserved space fees”, subsection (c), first paragraph: “(c) The aldermanic infrastructure committee may, upon request by owners or tenants of property or employers of businesses located within reasonable distance of Temple Street, Riverside ParkLe Parc de Notre Renaissance Francaise Parking Lot, Library, Water Street, Pearson Avenue, Maple Street, High Street (behind 55 taxi stand), Spring Street and Factory Street municipal parking lots, authorize the issuance of reserved parking permits; provided, that an ample number of unused spaces are available on a regular basis to accommodate such reserved spaces. The fee for each parking space shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) per month, payable on a quarterly basis if issued to a business or corporation, and on a monthly basis if issued to an individual. ….” ORDINANCE O-03-173 Page Two 2. In Division 3 “Parking Meters”, Section 13-249 “Parking time limits – Parking lots”, subsection (a)(7): “(7) Riverside parking lotLe Parc De Notre Renaissance Francaise Parking Lot: Ninety-three (93) ten-hour meters between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily, except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays;” 4. In Division 4 “No Parking, Standing, Stopping in Specified Areas”, Section 13-287 “No parking or stopping on certain streets”, subsection (a) (and place in the appropriate alphabetical order): “Riverside LotLe Parc de Notre Renaissance Francaise Parking Lot, at the northwest end starting at the northerly line of Clocktower Place's rear driveway, northeasterly for a distance of one hundred eighty (180) feet” |
