Bill Text: SETTING THE MAYORAL COMPENSATION FOR 2004 THROUGH 2007
In the Year Two Thousand and Three The City of Nashua ordains that Chapter 2 “Administration”, Article IV “Officers and Employees”, Division 2 “Mayor”, Section 2-197 “Mayoral Salary” of the Nashua Revised Ordinances, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding the underlined language as follows: “Sec. 2-197. Mayoral salary. The mayor shall receive the following compensation for the 2000 – 2003 term of office: Year 2000 $79,500 Year 2001 $82,500 Year 2002 $86,000 Year 2003 $89,500 From January 1, 2004 through June 30, 2004, the mayor’s salary shall be based on an annual salary of $89,500. On July 1 of 2004 and on July 1 of each following year, the mayor’s salary shall change by a factor equal to the average of the changes in the Consumer Price Index –Urban (CPI-U) of the preceding three calendar years as published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.”
