Bill Text: AMENDING THE COMPOSITION AND APPOINTMENT OF THE CABLE TELEVISION ADVISORY BOARD
In the Year Two Thousand and Two The City of Nashua ordains that Chapter 2, “Administration”, Article III, “Administrative Code”, Division 3, “Administrative Services Division”, Section 2-108 “Cable Television Advisory Board” of the Nashua Revised Ordinances, as amended, hereby be further amended by adding the new underlined language and deleting the struck-through language as follows: “Sec. 2-108. Cable television advisory board. (c) CTAB will consist of eleven members who are appointed by the mayor, and one (1) member who is a representative of the board of aldermen appointed by the president of the board, and all members shall be approved by the board of aldermen, for three (3) year terms. The twelve CTAB members shall be: CTAB will consist of fourteen (14) members total. The (5) members who are appointed by the mayor shall serve for three (3) year terms. The members are as follows: (1) One (1) member representing the board of aldermen who will also serve as liaison between the CTAB and board of aldermen., appointed by the president of the board of aldermen. (2) One (1) member representing the legal department Corporation counsel or his or her designee. (3) One (1) member representing the Nashua Public Library The director of the Nashua Public Library or his or her designee. (4) One (1) member representing the fire department The chief of the fire department or his or her designee. (5) One (1) member representing the police department The chief of the police department or his or her designee. (6) One (1) member representing the Nashua School District The superintendent of the school department or his or her designee. (7) One (1) member representing the information technology department The manager of the information technology department or his or her designee. (8) One (1) member of the Nashua business community.,appointed by the mayor and approved by the board of aldermen. (9) Four (4) members who are Nashua residents., appointed by the mayor and approved by the board of aldermen. (10) The director of the public works division or his or her designee. (11) The city’s cable television program manager or his or her designee The committee shall nominate and elect its own chairman and clerk. All existing CTAB members as of the date this section was passed shall continue to serve in their present capacity for a period of three years beginning January 1, 2001. (d) The committee shall meet on an ad hoc basis.”
