Bill Text: EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR A GREATER CITY ROLE IN ADMINISTRATION OF THE BROAD STREET PARKWAY PROJECT AND URGING THE NEW HAMPSHIRE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO IMPLEMENT A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT TO ACCOMPLISH THIS PURPOSE
In the Year Two Thousand and Two RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Nashua that WHEREAS, the Broad Street Parkway project is a City project being administered by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation under agreement with the City; and WHEREAS, all aspects of the project are of great importance to the City; and WHEREAS, the City is ready, willing, and able to take a greater role in administering the project; and WHEREAS, the City administration has proposed to do so by means of a memorandum of agreement to detail the respective roles of NHDOT and the City, proposed to NHDOT Commissioner Murray by letter of Mayor Streeter November 5, 2001; and WHEREAS, NHDOT has not as yet responded; NOW THEREFORE, the Board of Aldermen hereby expresses its support for the terms of the attached Memorandum of Agreement for the design and construction of the Broad Street Parkway November 2001, and urges the New Hampshire Department of Transportation to implement it.
