Public Schools continued:

A system of public education has been a fundamental part of Nashua’s heritage since the chartering of the ancient Township of Dunstable in 1673. Nashua High School was established in 1853; and New Hampshire’s first kindergarten was introduced at the old Quincy Street Schoolhouse at Nashua in 1897.
