The Nashua Recycling Center is located at the Four Hills Landfill and is available for use by residents and businesses of Nashua.
General Info:
- Hours: Mon - Fri: 8 am to 4 pm; Saturdays: 8 am to 1 pm
- Residential Permit required - $5 / yr / vehicle
- Fee waived for residents 65 years and older
ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS
Antifreeze - No charge
Appliances - No charge
Automotive batteries - lead acid batteries
from cars, trucks, and motorcycles - No charge
Books & video tapes & DVDs - No charge
Brush - No charge
Clothing & footwear - No charge
Construction & Demolition Debris (C & D) - lumber, plaster, drywall, sheet rock, shingles, siding,
cabinets, tile, carpeting & underlay, fences, bath & kitchen fixtures. Cost: $90 / ton
Electronics - computer monitors & components, printers, televisions, VCRs, DVD players, microwaves, etc.
The first two per year are free. Additional items will be charged at $5 per item
Freon appliances - air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, etc. - No charge
Propane tanks - 20 lb (tanks must be empty) - No charge
Scrap Metal - No charge
Single Stream Recyclables - No Charge
- Smooth cardboard & corrugated cardboard
- Newspapers, magazines & catalogs
- White & colored paper
- Mail & envelopes
- Paper bags
- Soft cover books & telephone books
- Shredded papers in paper bags, taped or stapled closed to prevent blowing litter

- Clean aluminum foil wrap & trays
- Metal cans (aluminum & tin)
Staples, tape, glue and any paper that can tear are OK; NO Soft paper (napkins, tissues or paper towels); NO waxed or plastic-coated paper (candy wrappers, oatmeal & hot cocoa packets, frozen food boxes, or take-out containers); NO soiled paper, Styrofoam, or plastic bags; No ceramics, drinking glasses, morrors or plate glass.
Please rinse containers and flatten all cardboard to 30 inches square before recycling
