Swap Shop
The Swap Shop provides an opportunity for Nashua residents to reuse small household items that are still serviceable, instead of putting them into the trash. A residential permit is required to use the Swap Shop.
ACCEPTED: Small appliances, toys, small furniture, etc.
NOT ACCEPTED: NO hazardous waste or paints; large appliances, construction and demolition debris, furniture or other large items; automotive parts; or tires.
The following regulations were adopted by the Board of Public Works and apply to all users of the SWAP SHOP:
- All vehicles must have a valid Landfill permit, which must be affixed to the vehicle's windshield, lower left corner)
- A maximum of 20 minutes per visit is allowed.
- Only one visit per day is allowed for each permitted vehicle.
- Taking material directly out of cars or trucks without the owner’s permission is prohibited.
- No inappropriate behavior is allowed.
- No vulgar or foul language is allowed.
- The scavenging of any materials from the metal or trash dumpster is prohibited.
- NO SMOKING ALLOWED
Failure to follow these rules and regulations will result in removal of landfill permit and the denial of access to the facility
