West Nile Virus and EEE

The Nashua Environmental Health Department’s mosquito control and surveillance program oversees the collection of mosquitoes that are analyzed for Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) and West Nile Virus (WNV), and larvaciding activities to prevent mosquitoes from becoming biting adults. If sufficient information indicates a significant public health threat to Nashua, there is a permit in place to conduct emergency spraying and public notices will be posted. Please refer to the attached documents for prevention information and for New Hampshire locations where positive samples have been collected. Please call 603-589-4530 with any questions or concerns.
