The Nashua Environmental Health Department’s mosquito control and surveillance program oversees the collection of mosquitoes that are analyzed for Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) and West Nile Virus (WNV), and larvaciding activities to prevent mosquitoes from becoming biting adults. If sufficient information indicates a significant public health threat to Nashua, there is a permit in place to conduct emergency spraying and public notices will be posted.
