No one will dispute the fact that the Fire Service is inherently dangerous and nationwide the Fire Service is ever changing. Firefighters face untold hazards every day. The Training and Safety Division primary role is to ensure that every member has the training and education to face these situations and mitigate them effectively and professionally. This division headed by Superintendent Joseph Freire and four Lieutenants is responsible for training, education, maintaning skill levels, maintaining of training records and certifications. This division is also tasked with the recruitment and screening of applicants.
