If you are a teacher or educator and have a group of students that are interested in health and public health, this may be a good opportunity for them to learn more about public health! This experience includes 2 hours at the Division with public health staff and can include a variety of topics including outbreak investigations, health education, environmental health and emergency preparedness.
Depending on the type of class or program, the students could also spend time in the environmental health laboratory learning about water testing and identifying insects such as the black-legged tick. The maximum number of students we can take per trip is 8 and a teacher or educator must be present during the field trip.
Use the contact information below to send an email with your interest to have a class or group of students come to the health department.
You will be contacted to discuss a field trip and to set-up a date and time.
